More Sasha Talk about Season 3

PCM-TV.com did an interview with Sasha recently:

Q: After the finale there were some worries about how the dynamic of Jane and Maura’s relationship would play out after the shooting, did you have any ideas as to how you thought Maura would react? 

“Initially, the anger seemed really right. I wasn’t really sure though, I felt like after the anger she wanted to apologize to Jane but then there was a miscommunication between them and she became angrier. I think that anger leads into a better understanding of what happened at the shooting. Once they have that understanding they can make their way back to being friends. In the second episode they’re not really talking yet, but there is that humorous tension between them where they have to work together. Overall Maura reacts the way I would expect her to.”

Review of 3x01

TheExaminer.com talks about 3x01:

When Rizzoli & Isles returns with its third season premiere, “What Doesn’t Kill You,” we are mere seconds after that undercover sting operation went horribly awry. Jane is forced to hand over her gun as evidence, while Maura can barely look at her former best friend, resigned to the fact that her mobster biological father was there to protect her, not threaten the police force that showed up. The case explodes when I.A. gets involved and Maura chooses to stay in the hospital, alternating between her father and mother’s bedsides, though, so the two spend the majority of the episode apart. Still, the tension that hangs over their head is thicker than ever.

Angie Talks Season Three

DigitalJournal.com has an article on the press conference Angie did a few days ago where she discusses the show, the show's influence on young girls, and the Gracie Awards.

Harmon said it’s really great to watch these two women work around their differences and the horrible situation that's happened, and come back together in Season 3. Also, the other characters recognize the love these two characters have for each other and will help Jane and Maura in their own ways to get back together.

Angie's Wish for All Men

The Huffington Post has printed Angie Harmon's Wish for All Men, which is the kick off of the campaign she is the face for regarding men's health and the fight against prostrate cancer.

Here is the honest truth: I'm incredibly lucky that none of the leading men in my life have been affected by prostate cancer. I know that at the mention of prostate cancer, I may have lost half of the men who started reading this, but you can't ignore the statistics: one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime.

Angie to Speak Out for Cancer Awareness

Actress and Stand Up To Cancer Ambassador Angie Harmon will appear in a new prostate cancer campaign on behalf of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) and The Safeway Foundation. The campaign is designed to raise funds and increase awareness for the fight against the disease, which currently affects more than two million American men and remains the second-leading cause of cancer death for men in the United States. 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime.

Sasha Interview

Sasha Talks R&I

TVChoice.com did an interview with Sasha a few weeks ago about the series. As those across the pond know, Rizzol & Isles is now showing on Alibi, and this interview covers a range of information from her thoughts on the ending of Season 1 and Season 2 to what it's like while filming to her days studying acting abroad. You'll find great things like:

So they like to keep you in suspense as well?
Yeah. But I will tell you that from Maura’s perspective, I feel like the situation she’s in at the end of season two really changes her. I think it deepens the relationship with Jane. I think that there is definitely going to be love interest involved this year. The crimes are continuing to be very strong and it’s overall really growing in direction. I’m feeling that there is a lot of synergy between all the characters, there’s a lot happening personally and in work.

Things to Amuse: TV Guide - Greatest Lesbian Movies

Over at TVGuide.com, you'll find a list from straightless (straightless.tumblr.com/, straight_less@twitter) listing a handpicked suggestion of entertainment great for lesbians, both straightforward and subtexty. It's a good list, but what we found really great was their entry on Rizzoli & Isles:


“ described as the most gay TV Show, which is not gay...yet! I know how much confusing that sounds but really, though there are no indication of the alleged gay relationship between main characters you can actually hear the gay vibe buzzing like crazy.
