World AIDS Day - A Time to Unite

December 1st is World AIDS Day. No doubt you will find a lot of news today on AIDS and the virus that causes it, HIV. We urge you to pay attention, and, even more importantly, we urge you to go out and do something to help fight the good fight.

Though today is set aside as a day to spotlight the issues surrounding the spread of HIV and what can be done to prevent it, we feel that everyday should be the day to teach others what can be done to protect themselves and their loved ones from this deadly disease.

What's more, we want to remind everyone that those who have contracted the virus or have the disease are not to be shunned or made to feel as outcasts. They are people who need our love, support, and touch. Never underestimate the power of something as simple as a hug.

As you go about your day today, take some time to educate yourself, then go out and find ways to help educate, help, and support those in your community battling this disease. As with all things in this world, we're all in this together.
